an English translation of the novel

It’s done!

That’s the end of the story! Thanks to everyone who’s read and commented and stuck with me for 3 years; it’s really motivated me to keep going :)

I’m swamped with finals until mid-April, but I’ll upload the final PDF as soon as I can after that. There are undoubtedly still a lot of typos and mistranslations throughout the story, so I’ll keep checking back at the comments and updating the PDFs when I’ve gathered a good amount of things to fix.

Thanks again for all your support!

  11. Thank you so much for your hard work these past years! I’m going to miss checking for new pages. Do you have any plans to translate another novel in the future?

  12. Thank you so much! You cannot understand how much joy you brought me by translating this novel to English :D Although, I do have to wonder, why did you start in Part VI (it seems to me, I haven’t been keeping up since December) saying “fake false minoshiro”, isn’t it redundant? Minoshiro are the animals, fake minoshiro the machines with tons of information, right?

    • That’s because this mini robot was different than the false minoshiro they’ve met. So different, yet somewhat similar, that it looked like it was a fake copy of a false minoshiro, hence the “fake false minoshiro”.

    • eerabbit says:

the novel referred to it as a fake false minoshiro; i assume it’s because the one Saki found doesn’t look like the false minoshiro she saw during summer camp

edit: oops yeah, koujiro said it already

    • Ah, thank you so much! I did not remember that detail :)

  37. Ricky Nguyen says:

So, Saki and Satoru are the only main characters still alive, huh? However, they are now looking forward to the future that they have secured, and with the child that Saki is pregnant with.

I wonder, eerabbit, can you tell me who are dead by the end of the story. We know that Squealer is dead, killed by Saki in a form of mercy in the previous chapter. What about the other main characters?
